Bandung Metropolitan Police Deploy 998 Personnel for Idul Adha Security
No need for convoys, as tomorrow will still be busy with Eid prayers.
Bandung (ANTARA) - Bandung Metropolitan Police have deployed 998 combined personnel to secure the Idul Adha 1447 Hijriah celebrations in the city.
Operations Chief AKBP Asep Saepudin stated that personnel would be deployed across various locations, particularly main roads and areas with high crowd potential.
“We have deployed 998 personnel for security during the takbir night and Eid prayers in Bandung,” Asep said in Bandung on Tuesday.
He urged the public to celebrate takbir night orderly and avoid street convoys to maintain order and ensure smooth Eid prayer operations the following day.
“No convoys needed, as tomorrow will still be busy with Eid prayers. It is hoped that celebrations take place at mosques, designated areas, and homes,” he added.
According to him, security is being coordinated with TNI and Bandung City Government personnel. Joint units will be on standby at strategic points to prevent potential public order disturbances.
“We will also monitor the distribution of sacrificial meat to ensure smooth operations without excessive crowds,” he said.
Asep hopes the public will cooperate to create a safe, orderly, and conducive Idul Adha atmosphere in Bandung.
