Bandung Metropolitan Police Deploy 1,627 Personnel for Eid al-Fitr 2026 Security

Bandung (ANTARA) - The Bandung Metropolitan Police have mobilised 1,627 combined personnel to secure the homecoming rush and celebrations for Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah through Operation Ketupat Lodaya 2026.

“A total of 1,627 personnel have been prepared for securing the homecoming rush and Eid al-Fitr celebrations 1447 Hijriah,” said Adi Wijaya, acting head of Bandung Metropolitan Police, on Friday in Bandung.

Adi stated that all combined personnel will be stationed at various security and service posts across Bandung city. According to him, these posts comprise one integrated post, 16 security posts, and six service posts distributed across various strategic points.

“This is expected to provide services to the community, whether those performing the homecoming journey or conducting other activities during the Eid holiday period,” he said.

He added that all personnel will be on duty and stationed at the prepared posts starting today.

“All personnel have already been deployed to the service and security posts that have been prepared,” he stated.

Through the security measures in Operation Ketupat Lodaya 2026, Bandung Metropolitan Police hope that security and public order during the homecoming and return journey for Eid in Bandung city can proceed safely, orderly, and smoothly.

“We want to provide the best service during this year’s Eid celebration, such as community gatherings during Eid al-Fitr and tourism activities after this year’s Eid holiday,” he concluded.
