Bandung Mayor Rushed to Hospital Ahead of DPRD Plenary Session

Bandung Mayor Muhammad Farhan was suddenly rushed to hospital while still working at Bandung City Hall on Friday afternoon (10/7/2026). He had been working since midday and was taken away on a stretcher after receiving a guest. Farhan was scheduled to attend a plenary session at the Bandung City Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) following the meeting.

"The Mayor is unwell and is currently being treated by a medical team at the hospital," said Head of the Bandung City Communication and Information Office, Henryco Arie Sapiie. When he was taken to the ambulance, an IV drip and oxygen tube had already been attached to Farhan. "For subsequent activities, they will be delegated to the relevant regional apparatus," Henryco added.
