Bandung Mayor Muhammad Farhan Still Undergoing Medical Treatment

Bandung Mayor Muhammad Farhan is still undergoing medical examination and treatment at a hospital. Head of the Bandung Communication and Informatics Agency, Henryco Arie Sapiie, stated that Farhan’s condition is still being handled by a team of doctors. “Currently, he is still under the care of the medical team. We are awaiting the ongoing medical process and will provide further information once there are developments,” he said in Bandung on Friday (10/7). According to Henryco, the Bandung City Government has ensured that the situation does not disrupt governance or public services. All public services continue to operate normally according to established mechanisms. “The Bandung City Government also invites the entire community to pray for the recovery of Bandung Mayor Muhammad Farhan so that he can recover quickly and return to his duties serving the citizens,” he stated. Henryco said the city government urges the public not to speculate about the mayor’s condition. The public is advised to refer only to official information released by the city government through official communication channels. The city government will provide further updates to the public after receiving official information from the medical team. As previously reported, Farhan was rushed to hospital on Friday (10/7) afternoon after experiencing a health issue while in his office at Bandung City Hall. The incident occurred when Farhan was scheduled to attend an agenda at the Bandung City DPRD building. At around 3:30 PM WIB, the lobby of City Hall was busy with preparations for the 2026 Asia Africa Festival (AAF) Gala Dinner to be held at City Hall Plaza. Amidst the activity, an ambulance from RSUD Bandung Kiwari entered the City Hall lobby area. Shortly after, a number of health workers were seen rushing towards the Mayor’s office. About 30 minutes later, Farhan was evacuated from the Mayor’s Central Room on a stretcher to the waiting ambulance. Farhan appeared to be lying down with his eyes closed and his face looking pale. During the evacuation, he was wearing a white shirt, had an IV drip attached to his hand, and was receiving oxygen assistance during the transfer to the ambulance before being taken to the hospital for medical treatment.
