Bandung Mayor Muhammad Farhan has confirmed that his health condition is continuing to improve. He had resumed his activities on Monday (13/7). On the first day of the new school year, Farhan inspected several schools, including SMP Negeri 3, SMP Negeri 10, SD Negeri 047, and SMP Negeri 43 in Bandung. Farhan admitted he had suffered a digestive tract infection that triggered stomach problems, ultimately leading to a vertigo attack. “After laboratory tests, it turned out there was a digestive infection that triggered stomach acid, which then triggered the vertigo,” he said. He explained that when the vertigo struck, his eyeballs moved uncontrollably, creating a spinning sensation that left him unable to walk on his own. “Vertigo makes you feel like everything is spinning, so I indeed had to be carried,” he said. Farhan stated that he had rested for two days on the advice of the medical team and the Bandung City Health Office (Dinkes). During his recovery, he was asked to reduce his activities and remain around the Pendopo. “Nevertheless, I have returned to my duties with an agenda that is not far from the city government centre. I also express my appreciation for the prayers and concern from the public regarding my health condition,” he said. On the occasion, Farhan revealed that on Tuesday (14/7), he plans to provide updates on a number of strategic programmes for the Bandung City government. These include the regulation of billboards, the management of illegal buildings, the organisation of overhead cables, and various other development progress in the city.
