Bandung Food Security and Agriculture Agency Distributes Rice and Cooking Oil to 146,232 Beneficiary Families
The Bandung City Food Security and Agriculture Agency (DKPP) in West Java is distributing government food reserve rice (CPP) and cooking oil to 146,232 beneficiary families (KPM) in the area. Head of DKPP Bandung, Gin Gin Ginanjar, stated that this distribution aims to alleviate the burden of household expenditures while serving as an instrument for inflation control. “The aid provided to the community consists of 10 kilograms of medium-quality rice and 2 litres of cooking oil per month for each beneficiary family,” said Gin Gin in Bandung on Sunday. Gin Gin explained that before distribution to KPM, the food aid rice undergoes strict quality checks to ensure smooth and safe distribution of CPP rice. “Inspections are conducted from storage in warehouses to field distribution to ensure that the aid received by the community is in good condition and fit for consumption,” he said. He added that to date, the realisation of distribution has reached 41,403 recipients or about 28 percent of the total target, with distribution already underway in eight districts and 28 villages. “We ensure that the distribution process continues until all aid recipients are served maximally,” he said. Furthermore, Gin Gin noted that the number of food aid recipients in this period has seen a significant increase. If in October–November 2025 there were 80,221 KPM, then in February–March 2026 it increased to 146,232 KPM. “There was an addition of 66,011 recipients spread across 30 districts and 151 villages in Bandung City,” he said.
