Bandung City Government Holds Online Job Fair with 2,595 Vacancies
The Bandung City Manpower Office is holding an online job fair providing 2,595 vacancies from dozens of companies as part of efforts to reduce the open unemployment rate in the city. Head of the Bandung City Manpower Office, Yayan Ahmad Brilyana, said job seekers can participate in the event on Tuesday (30/6) for free by registering through the New BIMMA application without needing to attend in person. “Through the virtual job fair, we want to ensure that every resident of Bandung City has equal access to job opportunities, without being limited by distance or cost,” Yayan said in Bandung on Monday. Yayan explained that this event is the first of its kind and is part of a digital-based employment service innovation to make it easier for the public to obtain job vacancy information. He said the Bandung City Government plans to hold job fairs regularly every month, at regional, national, and international levels, so that the workforce needs of companies can be met by job seekers from Bandung City. Yayan added that all technical preparations have been made to ensure the online job fair runs smoothly and provides an easy experience for participants. “We have ensured that the technical preparations are running well. We want the participants’ experience in this virtual job fair to be no less than that of a face-to-face event, and it can even be easier because it can be accessed from anywhere,” he said. The Bandung City Manpower Office, Yayan continued, is committed to regularly presenting similar programmes to expand public access to job opportunities.
