Bandung City Government Engages 339 MSMEs in Creative Market Across Eight Malls
The Bandung City Government in West Java is involving some 339 fostered micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the Pasar Kreatif Bandung 2026, which is being held at eight shopping centres or malls from 8 June to 2 August 2026. The Head of the Bandung City Trade and Industry Office, Ronny Ahmad Nurudin, said the Pasar Kreatif is an event to promote the best and most creative products with the aim of expanding marketing access at the national and international levels. “This year there are 339 MSMEs involved, consisting of 169 fashion, 78 craft, and 92 culinary businesses. Forty per cent are new participants,” Ronny said in Bandung on Tuesday. Ronny noted the eight malls serving as venues are Paris Van Java, Cihampelas Walk, Paskal 23, Trans Studio Mall, Kings Shopping Center, Summarecon Mall Bandung, Festival Citylink, and Botanika. He said this activity can spark the creativity of Bandung City MSMEs in marketing their flagship products. According to him, MSMEs must be serious when receiving support like this. “Pasar Kreatif Bandung 2026 is a flagship programme to facilitate the promotion and marketing of local business products,” he said. Furthermore, Ronny is optimistic that the turnover from the Pasar Kreatif Bandung 2026 event can achieve a larger figure compared to last year, which reached Rp10.1 billion by involving more than 300 business actors. He assessed that collaboration between the government, business actors, and shopping centre managers is the key to the success of this programme. “Support from various parties is considered capable of opening wider promotional access for MSMEs. When business actors grow, employment increases and the regional economy will become stronger,” he said.
