Bandung City Government: Eid al-Fitr Prayer 1447 Hijriah to Be Held at 2,124 Locations in Bandung

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BANDUNG – The Bandung City Government (Pemkot) reports that the Eid al-Fitr prayer for 1447 Hijriah, or the year 2026, will be held at 2,124 locations across 30 districts in Bandung City. This includes prayers at 1,525 mosques and 599 open fields.

A total of 9,930 sanitation officers will be on standby to ensure comfort and order during the worship activities. Some key locations for the Eid al-Fitr prayers include the Al Jabbar Grand Mosque, Bandung Grand Mosque, and the West Java Pusdai Mosque, as well as the Gasibu field.

The Bandung City Government will hold the city-level Eid al-Fitr prayer, centred at the Bandung City Hall Plaza. Bandung Mayor Muhammad Farhan is scheduled to perform the prayer alongside the ranks of the Regional Device Organisations (OPD), territorial units, and the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda).

“The Bandung City Government urges the public to choose the nearest prayer location to avoid congestion, and to maintain order and cleanliness during the worship,” said the Head of the Bandung City Communication and Informatics Office, Henryco Arie Sapiie, on Thursday (19/3/2026).

Regarding the Eid al-Fitr prayer, it awaits the determination of 1 Syawal 1447 Hijriah at the isbat session to be held on Thursday, 19 March 2026 evening.
