Bandung City Council Commission I Oversees Follow-up on 2025 Accountability Report and 2027 Regional Work Plan Synchronisation
The Bandung City Council’s Commission I recently convened a meeting in the DPRD Budget Committee Meeting Room to discuss the follow-up recommendations from the 2ability 2025 Accountability Report (LKPJ) and to synchronise priorities for the 2027 Regional Government Work Plan (RKPD). The meeting focused on strengthening governance, bureaucratic reform, and improving the quality of public services.
Susanto Triyogo Adiputro, Secretary of Commission I of the Bandung City Council, emphasised that these discussions are aimed at ensuring all DPRD recommendations within the LKPJ are optimally addressed by regional agencies, serving as a foundation for future regional priority programmes. “The recommendations provided must be followed up in a measurable manner and become part of the improvement of local government performance,” he stated.
During the meeting, several strategic issues were discussed, including the evaluation of LKPJ recommendations related to bureaucratic reform. Commission I urged that all council notes should not remain merely administrative but should be translated into concrete steps to increase the effectiveness and accountability of government administration.
Furthermore, the discussion highlighted public service performance, including the achievement of the Community Satisfaction Index (IKM). Commission I emphasised that improving service quality must be a top priority to meet rising public expectations for fast, easy, and transparent services.
Another emerging issue was the management of Civil Servant (ASN) human resources and the required formations through to 2027. According to Commission I, human resource management is a vital factor in ensuring the availability of competent personnel suited to the needs of regional organisational units.
Commission I also highlighted the strengthening of internal oversight systems and mitigation measures regarding findings from the Audit Board of Indonesia (BPK). These efforts are considered essential to strengthening clean, transparent, and accountable governance. “This is necessary to enhance governance that is clean, transparent, and free from the potential for irregularities,” he added.
In preparation for the 2027 RKPD, the meeting also discussed priorities such as strengthening bureaucratic reform, digitising public services, increasing ASN competence, and reinforcing the local government’s oversight and performance accountability systems. Commission I encouraged that all discussion outcomes be documented in a follow-up matrix for the 2025 LKPJ recommendations to serve as the basis for formulating the 2027 Bandung City RKPD priority programmes, particularly in the fields of governance and public service.
