Bandarlampung Immigration Deports 15 Foreign Nationals Until August
The Bandarlampung Class I TPI Immigration Office has reported that 15 foreign nationals within its jurisdiction have been deported between January and August 2024.
“As of August, we have deported 15 foreign nationals for committing various immigration violations,” stated Washono, Head of the Intelligence and Immigration Law Enforcement Section at the Bandarlampung Class I TPI Immigration Office, in Bandarlampung on Monday.
He noted that common violations committed by foreign nationals include overstaying, misuse of permits, disorderly conduct within the local community, and failure to possess official documentation.
To strengthen the monitoring of foreign nationals within the Bandarlampung Immigration working area, the office maintains continuous coordination with the Foreign National Surveillance Team (Timpora), which comprises various government agencies and institutions.
“We continue to strengthen Timpora, as the supervision of foreign nationals cannot be conducted by Immigration alone; it requires cooperation between various parties, including the community,” he said.
He also urged the public to remain vigilant regarding foreign nationals entering residential areas and to report any suspicious activity to the Immigration Office or relevant authorities.
“We hope that if there are foreign nationals [of concern], the community will immediately report to us so that further inspections of their documentation can be conducted,” he added.
