Bandar Lampung provides care for residents exposed to volcanic ash
“We have opened health services at all community health centers for residents affected by Anak Krakatau volcanic ash,” Bandar Lampung Mayor Eva Dwiana said in Bandar Lampung on Sunday.
She urged residents with health complaints, particularly breathing problems or acute respiratory infection symptoms after exposure to volcanic dust, to immediately seek medical care.
“Residents can contact or visit community health centers across Bandar Lampung to receive health services,” she said.
The mayor urged residents to wear masks outdoors and exercise greater caution while driving amid the presence of volcanic dust.
“Volcanic dust can reduce air quality and visibility and make roads slippery, so residents should exercise caution,” she said.
She also urged residents to remain calm and follow official information from the government and relevant agencies about developments in Anak Krakatau’s activity.
“We hope residents will not panic and will remain calm while following the latest information on Anak Krakatau. Above all, stay alert outdoors and wear masks temporarily,” she said.
