Bandar Lampung Police Serve 5,400 Beneficiaries of Free Nutritious Meals Programme
Bandar Lampung (ANTARA) - The Bandar Lampung Police are serving 5,400 beneficiaries of the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) programme through three Nutrition Fulfilment Service Units (SPPG). “The three SPPG units we are operating are SPPG 01 in Teluk Betung Timur, SPPG 02 in Tanjung Karang Timur, and SPPG 03 in Rajabasa, which serve 5,400 beneficiaries,” said the Bandar Lampung Police Chief, Kombes Pol Alfret Jacob Tilukay, in Bandar Lampung on Tuesday. “These three SPPG kitchens are functioning to prepare and distribute nutritious meals to the community, particularly children and vulnerable groups,” he added. He stated that the presence of these three SPPG kitchens represents a concrete step by the Indonesian National Police (Polri) in supporting improvements in public nutrition quality. “With the operation of these three SPPG kitchens, we hope the MBG programme can run optimally and on target. This also serves as proof that Polri is present not only in maintaining security but also contributing to enhancing public welfare,” he said. He emphasised that the programme’s success requires synergy between the government, authorities, work partners, and the community to ensure effective, transparent, and sustainable implementation. “We hope that the existence of these SPPG kitchens can provide real benefits and become part of efforts to create a healthy, intelligent, and productive generation,” he concluded.
