Bandar Lampung Marks 344th Anniversary, Mayor Eva Dwiana Encourages Healthy Living
Bandar Lampung Mayor Eva Dwiana opened a mass walk event to commemorate the 344th anniversary of Bandar Lampung City at the Adipura Monument area on Sunday, 28 June 2026. The event, carrying the theme ‘Bandar Lampung Bersinar’, was attended by thousands of residents who had filled the location since 6.00 a.m. Western Indonesian Time.
Wearing sportswear in shades of brown and white paired with a black jacket and hijab, Eva Dwiana officially released the participants around 6.30 a.m. The activity is part of the series of celebrations for Bandar Lampung City’s anniversary and serves as a platform to strengthen the relationship between the government and the community.
In her remarks, Eva expressed appreciation for the enthusiasm of the residents who came to enliven the anniversary celebration. ‘On behalf of the Bandar Lampung City Government, I would like to welcome and thank all the residents who have attended and participated in enlivening this event,’ said Eva.
According to Eva, the mass walk is not only a means of exercising together but also a momentum to strengthen ties, unity, and a spirit of togetherness within the community. ‘This mass walk is not just a joint exercise event, but also a means to strengthen bonds, reinforce unity, and foster a culture of healthy living in the community,’ Eva stated.
She also urged all participants to take part in the activity with enthusiasm, uphold sportsmanship, maintain safety, and keep the environment clean during the event. Eva expressed hope that the momentum of Bandar Lampung City’s 344th anniversary could strengthen shared optimism in building a more advanced and prosperous city.
In addition to the sports activity, the mass walk was enlivened by the distribution of various door prizes. The grand prize, a Daihatsu Sigra car, was won by Ernawati Ningsih, a resident of Kemiling District. Ernawati, who sells snacks such as cilok, cireng, and shredded chicken to support her family, expressed gratitude for the prize and hoped it would help her fulfil her wish to return to her hometown. ‘I want to go home to see my family. I haven’t been back for 12 years,’ said Ernawati. She also thanked the Bandar Lampung City Government and hoped that events like the city’s anniversary mass walk would continue to be held, as they bring happiness while strengthening community togetherness.
