Bandar Lampung Junior High Student Stabs Classmate Over Bullying and Parent Insults

KA (13), a junior high school student in Bandar Lampung, stabbed his classmate V (13) in the abdomen. Police stated that KA attacked his peer due to ongoing bullying.

‘Based on witness statements from their schoolmates, KA was frequently harassed or bullied,’ said Kompol Gigih Andri Putranto, Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit (Reskrim) of Bandar Lampung Police Department.

Gigih explained that the bullying involved harsh words and insults directed at KA’s parents, with the victim allegedly repeatedly insulting the perpetrator.

‘The perpetrator admitted to being insulted with derogatory language, including remarks about his parents,’ he added.

Gigih confirmed that multiple parties will be involved in the investigation given both individuals are minors, and urged parents and schools to monitor students’ social interactions to prevent further bullying incidents.

The incident, which went viral, was captured on video showing the victim, V (13), lying in the emergency department of Abdul Moeloek Hospital, still conscious.

The attack occurred on Monday, 25 May 2026, at 11:00 WIB on Raden Pemuka Street, Gunung Sulah Village, Bandar Lampung.
