Bandar Lampung City Government Wins Award for Supporting 3 Million Homes Programme
The Bandar Lampung city government has won an award in the 3 Million Houses Programme category at the 2026 Regional Sumatra Outstanding Local Government Appreciation event held in Batam, Riau Islands, on Wednesday, 12 August 2026. The award was presented directly by the Head of the Government Communication Agency of the Republic of Indonesia, Muhammad Qodari, to Bandar Lampung Mayor Eva Dwiana.
Through various programmes and support for the provision of decent housing, the Bandar Lampung city government continues to strive to improve the quality of life for its residents. The 3 Million Houses Programme is one of the strategic measures in encouraging the fulfilment of housing needs while improving public welfare.
Eva said the award is proof of the Bandar Lampung city government’s commitment to delivering development programmes that provide tangible benefits to the community, particularly in meeting the need for decent, safe and affordable housing. For this achievement, the Bandar Lampung city government received assistance in the form of 300 self-help housing stimulus units, also known as home renovation units.
“Thank you to the Ministry of Home Affairs for recognising the Bandar Lampung city government. This award motivates us to continue working for the community,” said Eva.
She added that the achievement also demonstrates the synergy between local government, central government and various parties in supporting the acceleration of housing provision for the public.
In the 3 Million Houses Programme category, local governments are assessed based on regulatory ease, the provision of incentives for Land and Building Acquisition Duty (BPHTB) and Building Approval (PBG) for low-income communities, as well as financing collaboration through the Regional Budget and the State Budget.
