Banda Aceh — The Banda Aceh Class I TPI Immigration Office has served 2 ม23 passport applications through the ‘Paspor Ceria’ (Pasporia) programme, held within the car-free day (CFD) area of Banda Aceh city.

The Head of the Banda Aceh Immigration Office, Bambang Tri Cahyono, stated on Sunday that the high number of applications during the Pasporia service demonstrates public enthusiasm for accessing immigration services in public spaces.

“The Pasporia programme in the CFD area is an innovation designed to bring services closer to the community,” he said.

Of the 23 passport applications, six were for new passports, while 17 were for passport renewals.

He added that the Pasporia service is an effort by the Immigration Office to bring services directly to the people, acting as a ‘jemput bola’ or proactive outreach programme.

The presence of Pasporia in public areas aims to provide a more relaxed and flexible service alternative for citizens who are busy during working days, according to Bambang Tri Cahyono.

“We want to ensure that immigration services are easily accessible to the public. While exercising or enjoying the morning atmosphere at the CFD, citizens can process their passports without needing to take time away from work,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Aceh Regional Office of the Directorate General of Immigration, Tato Juliadin Hidayawan, expressed appreciation for the consistency of the Banda Aceh Immigration staff in presenting proactive public service innovations.

According to him, this step represents the Immigration Office’s commitment to continuously providing inclusive and responsive services to meet community needs.

“We encourage all work units in Aceh to remain consistent in providing easy, transparent, and accountable services,” said Tato Juliadin Hidayawan.
