Bambang's new fishing firm

JAKARTA (JP): Bambang Trihatmodjo, President Soeharto's second son, said he wanted to enter the fishing business in eastern Indonesia in cooperation with the Navy.

"We also want to take part in the development of the fishing industry in the eastern part of the country by cooperating with the Navy," he said after receiving an honorary Hiu Kencana Brevet award from the Navy in Surabaya.

Bambang said he planned open a fishing and canning company but did not elaborate.

Navy head of information Mualimin Santoso said fishing could contribute more to the country's earnings if it was well managed. (04)
