KUPANG, East Nusa Tenggara (JP): City police have arrested a
man posing as a female prostitute for allegedly severely biting
the genitals of eight young men in the area since 1994.

The long-wanted suspect, Serpatius Da Cunha, reportedly
cruised the streets wearing flashy dresses, bra and high heels
and offered sexual favors to would-be victims.

City police chief detective Capt. Hendri Jaga said the suspect
was caught on Saturday night on a tip from a truck driver's
assistant who had his penis badly bitten.

The victim told the police that as soon as he dropped his
pants, Serpatius quickly bit the "content" although he had
offered "her" Rp 5,000 (US$2.20) for a session in a vacant house.

"The culprit ran for his life as the victim screamed for
help," Hendri told The Jakarta Post. "Citizens caught him lying
facedown in a vacant lot."

Serpatius told the Post in his detention cell he bit the truck
driver's assistant only in self-defense.

"I would not have bitten it had he not forced me into having
sex," he said. He denied having committed the offense before as
claimed by the police. (yac/pan)
