Balinese make-up artistry becomes an opportunity for women's economic empowerment

Traditional Balinese make-up artistry has become an opportunity for women’s economic empowerment. Participants took part in training on make-up application and traditional hair styling (sanggul) in Denpasar, Bali on Wednesday, 11 March 2026. The training was organised as an effort to empower women of various ages, particularly in the economic sphere, through expertise in make-up application and traditional hair styling techniques that are relevant to the needs of customary and social activities in Bali.
