Balibo festival will go on

DILI, East Timor: The second Balibo cultural festival will be held soon with supporting activities organized in the neighboring East Nusa Tenggara province.

Arnold Koly Mali, an official at the provincial tourism office, said the festival would be held in Balibo, the city where the historic integration declaration was signed.

East Timor integrated with Indonesia in 1976.

Arnold said the Balibo festival's activities are jointly held by both provinces. The peak of the festival will be on Nov. 30, Antara reported. (par)
