Bali Weather Forecast for Thursday 5 March 2026: Caution! High Waves Threaten Southern Waters
BBMKG Denpasar, the Regional Office of the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics (BBMKG) Wilayah III Denpasar, issued an early warning of potentially high waves in Bali’s southern waters, which are expected to reach up to five metres on Thursday, 5 March 2026. BBMKG Denpasar forecaster Ariantika said that in addition to high waves, the public should watch for potential heavy rain accompanied by lightning and strong winds across much of Bali. The extreme weather in Bali at present is influenced by a sequence of tropical cyclone seeds. Based on the latest monitoring, there are three main focal points: BBMKG explains that strong winds in the northern and southern waters around Bali are forecast to reach up to 40 knots (74 km/h) through 6 March 2026. The height of waves and wind speed pose a high risk to sea activities. The agency urges the public, vessel operators, and tourists to continually check for updates via the Info BMKG app or BBMKG Denpasar’s official social media channels to avoid sea accidents.
