Bali Village Cooperatives Yet to Receive Imported Pick-up Trucks from India
Head of the Bali Cooperatives and SMEs Office, Try Arya Dhyana Kubontubuh, stated that the Merah Putih Village Cooperatives (Kopdes) in Bali have yet to receive the imported pick-up trucks from India.
“There are 12 cooperatives that have completed 100 percent of their building construction, but there is no information regarding the vehicles. Even the Ministry of Cooperatives personnel have no information,” said Arya on Thursday (2/4/2026).
Arya explained that there is still no information or clarity on the handover mechanism for the pick-up trucks, whether through district/city governments or directly to the village cooperatives.
“Since Kopdes are under the guidance of districts/cities, the province’s role is more about coordination if there is a process from the centre,” he clarified.
According to him, the vehicle distribution will be carried out gradually, taking into account the readiness of the recipients, namely the district/city governments.
“It’s not clear yet; yesterday we asked ministry officials and they didn’t know either. There is no information from the centre or the Ministry of Cooperatives,” he said.
Previously, as reported by detikFinance, Cooperatives Minister Ferry Juliantono stated that 3,135 Merah Putih Village/Urban Village Cooperatives (Kopdeskel Merah Putih) have completed their physical construction and operations. According to Ferry, thousands of these cooperatives have received vehicle facilities in the form of one pick-up truck and one lorry.
“Those that are 100 percent completed in construction, 3,135 have been built. They have already (received the vehicles), it can be checked directly,” said Ferry when met at his office in South Jakarta on Monday (30/3/2026).
The vehicle facilities received by Kopdeskel Merah Putih are imported procurements carried out by PT Agrinas Pangan for 105,000 units. Ferry mentioned that thousands of imported vehicles have arrived in Indonesia and are being distributed gradually to Kopdeskel Merah Putih.
“Thousands (of vehicle units have arrived in Indonesia); yesterday some have already been distributed to the Merah Putih Village/Urban Village Cooperatives, and it seems sufficient and can be used,” Ferry explained.
