Bali Transport Agency to Build More Proper Bus Stops for Trans Metro Dewata

The Bali Transportation Agency (Dishub) has responded to public criticism regarding the poor condition of bus stops for the Trans Metro Dewata (TMD) service. One stop that drew particular attention was the Titi Banda halt, which only had a small tent and two long iron benches. A netizen documented the condition of the stop as a TMD bus arrived, and the post drew reactions from other users.

Head of the Bali Transportation Agency, I Kadek Mudarta, confirmed that the government is planning to build proper bus stops for the TMD service. “There is a plan to build according to the needs and aspirations of users,” Mudarta said on Wednesday (17/6/2026).

He revealed that the government is currently seeking a suitable scheme and funding, as the construction will involve third-party cooperation. Mudarta also noted that only two stops were built using the regional budget (APBD) this year, namely the Dewi Sartika and Jalan Thamrin stops. The remaining stops will be developed through partnerships with third parties. The provision of bus stops will be tailored to user needs, with Mudarta explaining, “It will be adjusted according to the available budget allocation and the certainty of land ownership at the construction site.”
