Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) supplies are guaranteed to be safe ahead of Nyepi and Idul Fitri 2026, according to Ida Ayu Putriani, Head of Consumer Protection and Market Order at Bali’s Department of Industry and Trade (Disperindag).

“For LPG stock ahead of the holidays, we have coordinated with Pertamina to ensure that deliveries continue to be operational on public holidays on 15 and 22 March in Denpasar,” Putriani explained when met at Tiara Dewata supermarket in Denpasar on Wednesday (11 March 2026).

Putriani urged the public to remain calm and not panic, as there are no stock limitations and supplies will be secured. Disperindag Bali ensures that monitoring continues to be carried out regularly with the involvement of relevant agencies.

“Communication has already been conducted. If there are any shortage issues, they can be directly reported to Pertamina’s call centre. We will also follow up by organising affordable market sales,” said Putriani.

Putriani confirmed that the LPG retail price at distribution points conforms to the Bali Governor’s Regulation (Pergub), which is set at IDR 18,000. The public can go directly to the nearest distribution point to purchase gas at an affordable price.

“People can actually make direct purchases at distribution points since the final distribution is there, not at small shops. However, small shops do help with the distribution process to be closer to the community, but the regulated maximum retail price at small shops is not governed by regulation,” Putriani explained.

However, purchases at distribution points are limited. Each household is entitled to one cylinder of LPG, but weekly purchases of up to four cylinders are possible if they operate a micro, small, and medium-sized enterprise (UMKM).

“If there is increased demand related to Idul Fitri and Nyepi, there will certainly be an increase. However, in terms of distribution, supplies are already secure,” Putriani added.
