Bali to host volleyball meet

JAKARTA (JP): Bali will play host to the opening leg of the
inaugural Asian four-a-side beach volleyball championship series
from Nov. 29 to Dec. 2

The finals will be held in Lombok from Dec. 6 to Dec. 9.

Teams from seven countries, including host Indonesia, have
confirmed their entry in the series sanctioned by the world
volleyball governing body FIVB. They will play round robin
matches in each leg, vying for US$25,000 prize money.

Australia, Brazil, China, Japan, the Philippines and the
United States will make a trip to Bali, but New Zealand remains
uncertain about its participation. (arf)
