Bali Sweeps Two Awards at 2026 Regional Government Achievement Appreciation
The Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) has bestowed high appreciation upon several regional governments in the Java-Bali region deemed to have achieved outstanding results throughout the current year. At the event titled 2026 Regional Government Achievement Appreciation for Java-Bali, held at the Marriot Hotel in Sleman, Yogyakarta, on Thursday evening (4/6), the Bali Provincial Government successfully dominated by sweeping two major awards. The awards cover four strategic categories: Reduction of Unemployment Rate, Alleviation of Poverty and Stunting, Creative Financing, and Inflation Control. Besides Bali, East Java and DKI Jakarta also recorded their names as the best in other categories. Based on official data released by the Ministry, Bali showed absolute dominance in the unemployment category, both at the provincial and district/city levels, outpacing West Java which placed second at the provincial level. The poverty alleviation category recorded a unique achievement where all provinces in Java-Bali managed to secure awards, with Bali leading in first place, followed by the Special Region of Yogyakarta and Central Java. East Java won the title of Best I at the provincial level in this category, ahead of the Special Region of Yogyakarta, whilst Kulonprogo Regency led at the top district level. DKI Jakarta stood at the forefront in development funding innovation, followed by Banten in second place at the provincial level. These awards are expected to serve as motivation for other regions to continue innovating in public service and regional economic management, particularly amidst the global economic challenges of 2026.
