Bali Strengthens Position as Global Hindu Business Networking Hub
Bali will host the Global Hindu Business Conference (GHBC) 2026 from 10–12 July 2026 at the Universitas Hindu Indonesia (UNHI) campus in Denpasar. The conference will bring together approximately 200 entrepreneurs, investors, diplomats, academics, professionals, and organisational leaders from at least 10 countries to strengthen business networks based on Hindu values.
Carrying the theme ‘Towards Dharmanomics: Designing the Future’, GHBC 2026 is expected to become an international collaboration space that encourages investment, innovation, and business partnerships by promoting the concept of Dharmanomics, namely economic development based on ethics, sustainability, and shared prosperity.
GHBC 2026 Deputy Chair Dr. Ketut Jaman stated that the conference is not merely a discussion forum but a strategic momentum to expand international business networks while strengthening Bali’s position as a centre for value-based economic collaboration. ‘GHBC is not just a discussion forum, but a platform to build partnerships that generate mutually beneficial investment, trade, and collaboration. We hope Bali becomes the meeting point for the birth of various global business initiatives based on the values of dharma and sustainability,’ he said on Saturday (11/7).
Over the three-day event, participants will engage in various agendas, including keynote speeches, panel discussions, business networking, business matching, product and service exhibitions, and field visits designed to open concrete cooperation opportunities across various sectors. The organising committee is also paying special attention to the younger generation by providing 100 free quotas for undergraduate and postgraduate Hindu students to participate in the entire series of activities. This programme is expected to broaden students’ horizons while providing opportunities to build international networks and interact directly with investors and business players from various countries.
Beyond strengthening global business cooperation, GHBC 2026 is also projected to have an economic impact on Bali. The presence of international delegates is expected to drive growth in the tourism, creative economy, MSME, hospitality, and transportation sectors, as well as the meeting, incentive, convention, and exhibition (MICE) industry, while opening up new investment opportunities.
GHBC 2026 Secretary Dr. Ketut Susila Dharma explained that the conference is the result of collaboration between UNHI Denpasar, the Global Hindu Entrepreneur Network (GHEN), Prajaniti Hindu Indonesia, Universitas Hindu Negeri (UHN) I Gusti Bagus Sugriwa Denpasar, with support from the Bali Convention and Exhibition Bureau (BaliCEB). According to him, this synergy embodies a shared commitment to building a Hindu entrepreneurship ecosystem capable of competing at the global level.
Meanwhile, Prajaniti Hindu Indonesia Chair and GHBC 2026 Advisor K.S. Arsana revealed that the conference will feature influential figures from the business, investment, and diplomatic worlds hailing from Malaysia, India, Singapore, Nepal, Mauritius, and Australia. Speakers include Dato’ Dr. M. Gopala Krishnan, Dato’ Pardip K. Kukreja, Dato’ Ramesh Kodammal, Dr. Shashank Vikram, Maneesh Tripathi, Manish K. Khemka, Ashwin Takoor, Dato’ S. Viswanathan, M. Yuthaya Surian, Prasath Kanagaras, and Amu Shah. They possess experience leading multinational companies, business organisations, investment institutions, and diplomatic institutions. The presence of these speakers is expected to enrich discussions on trade, investment, technology, education, and entrepreneurship while opening opportunities for strategic cross-border collaboration.
