Bali Strengthens Position as a Global-Standard Aesthetics Destination
Bali is increasingly strengthening its position as a wellness destination that not only offers nature tourism and lifestyle experiences but also technology-based aesthetic services. The arrival of various non-invasive treatment innovations is seen as broadening the appeal of the Island of the Gods for both local residents and international tourists seeking global-standard medical aesthetics.
One such technology now available in Bali is XERF by Cynosure Lutronic, a non-invasive skin tightening treatment officially introduced through Elea Clinic Bali. The presence of XERF makes Elea Clinic the first clinic in Bali to offer this technology, simultaneously marking XERF’s expansion into one of the world’s largest lifestyle and wellness destinations.
Vice President of idsMED Aesthetics Indonesia Andy Rahardja stated that Bali is a strategic market for the aesthetics industry, supported by the growth of the beauty and wellness sector and the high number of international tourist arrivals each year. “Bali is a very strategic aesthetic market, not only because of the rapid growth of the beauty and wellness industry, but also because of the high number of international tourists visiting annually. The exclusive presence of XERF at Elea Clinic Bali is part of our commitment to bringing global aesthetic innovations accessible to more local communities and international patients,” Andy said on Monday (29/6).
He added that the collaboration is expected to further strengthen Bali’s position as a world-class medical aesthetics destination capable of offering services with the latest technology. XERF was developed by Cynosure Lutronic, a South Korean aesthetic technology company. The technology has received approval from the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as an internationally recognised standard for medical device safety and effectiveness.
The technology features the world’s first multi-frequency monopolar radiofrequency (RF) treatment and is a monopolar RF device that combines two frequencies, 6.78 MHz and 2 MHz. This combination allows for more precise energy delivery to various skin layers, helping to tighten, smooth, and lift the skin without surgery or lengthy recovery times.
The trend of using non-invasive treatments continues to grow in various countries. XERF has been used by a number of global public figures, including South Korean actress Park Shin Hye, who serves as the Global Brand Ambassador for XERF by Cynosure Lutronic, as well as international celebrities such as Kim Kardashian, Khloé Kardashian, and Priyanka Chopra, who are known for choosing minimal-downtime skin treatments.
In Indonesia, XERF was previously introduced through a national launch with actress Mikha Tambayong as the Brand Ambassador for XERF Indonesia. The expansion to Bali is a further step to broaden public access to premium aesthetic technology while reaching the international tourist market.
Head of Aesthetics at idsMED Indonesia Marisa Theresia said Bali is one of the world’s leading lifestyle and wellness destinations, making the presence of premium aesthetic technology relevant to the evolving market needs. “We are proud to collaborate with Elea Clinic Bali to introduce a new standard in non-invasive treatments, while expanding access for local communities and international tourists to world-class aesthetic technology,” she said.
Meanwhile, Head Doctor of Elea Clinic Bali, Dr. Jesslyn Amelia, Sp.DVE, stated that the clinic continuously introduces aesthetic technologies supported by scientific evidence and capable of providing a comfortable treatment experience for patients. She noted that the increasing interest in non-invasive skin tightening solutions shows that patients are now prioritising effective procedures with minimal recovery time.
“The presence of XERF is an answer to the growing patient demand for effective non-invasive skin tightening solutions with minimal downtime. As a destination visited by many domestic and international tourists, we hope XERF can become the primary choice for patients seeking premium aesthetic treatments with the latest technology in Bali,” she said.
The launch of XERF in Bali was also attended by the management of idsMED Aesthetics Indonesia, Elea Clinic Bali, media representatives, and aesthetic practitioners. As part of the strategy to introduce this technology to a wider market, idsMED Aesthetics Indonesia will place outdoor advertisements in several strategic locations, including a videotron at the Domestic Terminal Pick-up Zone of I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport and an LED screen in the East Gatot Subroto area, Tohpati intersection.
The arrival of this new technology is expected not only to expand aesthetic service options for the people of Bali but also to strengthen the island’s competitiveness as a medical aesthetics destination in Asia, capable of combining healthcare, beauty, and tourism in one ecosystem.
