Bali, S. Sumatra in youth exchange
DENPASAR, Bali: The provinces of Bali and South Sumatra have
agreed to exchange youths in the 2001 interprovincial youth
exchange program.
Head of Bali's National Education office I. Gusti Ngurah Oka
said on Wednesday that Bali would send 15 youths to South
Sumatra, and vice versa.
While staying in Bali the South Sumatran youths would learn
about arts and culture as well as Balinese traditions, according
to Oka. "Similar things will be done by the Balinese youths
staying in South Sumatra."
Oka said that the South Sumatran youths would live with
Balinese families in Badung, Tabanan and Gianyar.
The students' exchange started on Wednesday and would end on
Nov. 6. --Antara
