The Chief of the Indonesian National Police, General Suyudi Ario Seto, has conducted a rotation of positions at the Regional Police Chief (Kapolda) level. Among the changes, Bali Regional Police Chief Irjen Daniel Adityajaya has been replaced by the Deputy Police Chief of East Java, Brigjen Pasma Royce.

The Head of Public Relations for the Bali Regional Police, Kombes Ariasandy, confirmed the change. He stated that the handover ceremony for the new Bali Police Chief will take place at the National Police Headquarters.

“Yes (it is true there is a change), the handover will be at the National Police Headquarters. The timing is not yet known,” he said briefly when contacted on Saturday (3/10/2026).

The change is stipulated in the National Police Chief’s Telegram Letter number ST/2205/X/KEP./2026, dated 2 October 2026. After concluding his term as Bali Police Chief, Daniel has been mutated to serve as a High-Ranking Officer (Pati) within the National Police Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim Polri).

Daniel has served as the Bali Police Chief for over two years. The two-star general was inaugurated in July 2024, succeeding the previous Bali Police Chief, Irjen Ida Bagus Kade Putra Narendra.

Meanwhile, Brigjen Pasma Royce is a 1996 graduate of the Police Academy (Akpol). He possesses extensive experience in the field of criminal investigation, having previously served as a Level II Intermediate Criminal Investigator at Bareskrim Polri.

Prior to his appointment as Deputy Police Chief of East Java, Pasma also served as the Chief of Surabaya City Police and the West Jakarta Metro Police Chief.

As reported by detikNews, the Head of Public Relations for the National Police, Irjen Johnny Eddizon Isir, explained that this mutation is part of organisational dynamics to ensure the continuity of duties and to provide space for career development for personnel.

“Mutation and rotation of positions are part of the Indonesian National Police’s organisational dynamics. This is carried out according to organisational needs and as part of career development and refreshment in the execution of policing duties,” Johnny stated in Jakarta on Saturday (3/10/2026).
