A total of 1,167 dengue fever (DBD) cases were recorded in Bali from January to May 2026. Although there were monthly declines in some months, the overall number remains high with no significant downward trend.

In January, 281 dengue cases were reported, with Badung Regency recording the highest at 63 cases. February saw a decrease to 277 cases.

March brought a further drop to 246 cases, but one fatality was reported. Gianyar Regency had the highest number of cases that month at 72.

April witnessed a rise to 264 DBD cases, with one additional death.

The Bali Health Department (Dinkes) has implemented various measures to manage DBD cases across regencies and cities. I Gusti Ayu Raka Susanti, Head of Disease Prevention and Control at Dinkes Bali, stressed the importance of community efforts at household level.

“Continuously educate the public on dengue control measures through sustained implementation of Mosquito Nest Eradication (PSN) 3M Plus,” Raka said on Tuesday, 26 May 2026.

Dinkes also conducts epidemiological investigations in areas with high case clusters to implement targeted control measures.

“Strengthening DBD surveillance systems to detect rising cases and prevent outbreaks,” Raka added.
