The Bali Provincial Government is providing vehicle tax relief. This policy is regulated through Bali Governor Regulation No. 53 of 2025 concerning the Provision of Relief and/or Reduction of the Principal of Motor Vehicle Tax and Vehicle Title Transfer Fees.

Head of the Bali Regional Revenue Agency, I Dewa Tagel Wirasa, stated that vehicles with an engine capacity of up to 200 cubic centimetres will receive an 8% reduction in the principal of the Motor Vehicle Tax. Meanwhile, vehicles above 200cc will receive a reduction of up to 9%.

‘The relief has been in effect since last year. Indeed, we set the tariff with a governor regulation lower than the regional regulation, and that is a central directive that applies nationally,’ Tagel said on Tuesday.

In addition, taxpayers who have no arrears from previous years will also receive additional incentives according to the vehicle’s engine capacity. Owners of vehicles up to 200cc receive an additional 10% reduction, while owners of vehicles above 200cc receive an additional 5% reduction.

Tagel revealed that this policy aims to educate the public to be compliant in paying taxes. He hopes the public can make good use of this tax reduction.

According to Tagel, the vehicle tax reduction policy in Bali has been ongoing since January 2026. This policy will last until the end of the year.

‘The provision of this incentive is until the end of the year, the same as last year starting in January. Now we are also starting until the end of the year, a full year,’ Tagel explained.
