Any comments kuku??

this is only partially true in the case of bali. but this is not a legal problem, but rather a political one.

legally, PMAs can indeed own property of any sort. however, it must (theoretically) be consistent with the field of business within the investment permit. there are no actual hard and fast rules about how many residential properties a PMA can own, however, in places like bali, it can happen that the Lands Office will obstruct issuance of HGB title using the reason that the field of business does not require such a property for its operations.

in these events, the alternative is to use the nominee method of land ownership, with the critical difference that you use the PMA company as the beneficial owner. in the event of dispute, PMA companies have legal standing; foreign persons do not, no matter what visa they may hold.
