Bali Police Send 5 Container Trucks of Aid for NTT Earthquake Victims

The Bali Regional Police (Polda Bali) have sent aid for victims affected by the earthquake disaster in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT). The aid, carried in five container trucks, was dispatched directly from the Bali Police Headquarters on Monday (17/8/2026).

The departure of the aid was officiated by Bali Police Chief Inspector General Daniel Adityajaya together with several principal officials of the Bali Police.

“We are dispatching a convoy of social assistance logistics intended for our colleagues, our brothers and sisters affected by the earthquake natural disaster in East Nusa Tenggara,” said Daniel.

The aid sent by the Bali Police includes basic necessities for refugees and residents affected by the disaster. The assistance includes staple foods such as instant noodles, mineral water, milk, and biscuits.

In addition, supporting aid such as tarpaulins, nappies, folding mattresses, thin mattresses, as well as wet and dry wipes were also distributed to the affected residents.

The Bali Police also deployed psychologist personnel and a Brimob unit to assist in the search for victims at the location.

Daniel stated that his party has also placed Brimob vehicles on standby as field kitchen facilities and for clean water processing. These vehicles are ready to be deployed if needed, with the situation being monitored as it develops.

“They remain on standby to be dispatched, awaiting the development of the situation and can be launched at any time towards the earthquake disaster location in the East Nusa Tenggara region,” he said.

The aid sent is expected to arrive at the NTT disaster post on Wednesday (19/8/2026). Daniel expressed hope that the assistance would help ease the burden on victims following the 7.7 magnitude earthquake in Nagaekeo, East Nusa Tenggara, on Saturday (15/8).

“It is hoped that this can help, at least ease the burden on our brothers and sisters affected by the disaster,” Daniel concluded.
