The Public Relations Directorate (Bidhumas) of Bali Police held a Technical Working Meeting (Rakernis) for the 2026 fiscal year on Tuesday (2625/2026). Held at the Presisi Building of Bali Police Headquarters, the meeting aimed to align perspectives, evaluate performance, and strengthen communication strategies amid rapidly accelerating global digital dynamics.

The meeting was opened by Bali Police Public Relations Chief Commissioner Ariasandy, attended by Assistant Chiefs of Public Relations from Bali’s regency and city police forces, as well as all personnel serving as Information and Documentation Management Officers (PPID) across Bali Police’s work units.

Ariasandy stressed that public relations is no longer merely a support function but has transformed into a core operational function of the Indonesian National Police (Polri). In the era of artificial intelligence and information surges, Bali Police’s public relations must act swiftly, responsively, and humanely to shield the digital space from hoaxes and disinformation.

“Optimal media management and positive public communication are key. We must deliver educational, transparent, and calming information to channel potential public order disturbances in cyberspace before they impact the real world,” said Ariasandi.

The meeting serves as a crucial foundation for Bali Police to align police operations with central government strategic policies. The primary focus of this public relations effort is to support the President’s Asta Cita Programme, particularly in maintaining conducive security stability to ensure the smooth implementation of national food security, energy, and economic growth initiatives.

Through this forum, all Bali Police public relations personnel were equipped with enhanced technical capabilities, media crisis management simulations, and strengthened strategic partnerships with media professionals across Bali.

Harmonious and professional relationships with the media are seen as the primary bridge to disseminate accurate information and absorb public aspirations and constructive criticism.

Through this meeting, Bali Police’s public relations is confident in presenting a precise, adaptive image of the National Police that consistently delivers tangible benefits to all layers of Balinese society to support the Golden Indonesia Vision.
