Bali Police Nab Drug Courier Using 'Stash-and-Go' Method in Badung

The Bali Regional Police’s Narcotics Directorate has arrested a suspected methamphetamine courier identified by the initials BDP (40). The man was apprehended while attempting to distribute the drug using a ‘stash-and-go’ method in Lukluk Village, Mengwi District, Badung. “At the time, the perpetrator was sticking something on the side of the road,” stated Bali Police Head of Public Relations, Commissioner Ariasandy, in a press release on Wednesday (8/7/2026). Ariasandy revealed that BDP’s activities had been detected after police received reports of rampant drug trafficking in the area. BDP was finally caught in the act at Gang Taman Indah, Jalan Denpasar-Gilimanuk, Mengwi, on Wednesday (26/6) at approximately 00.10 Central Indonesian Time. After arresting BDP, officers searched the suspect’s belongings. Police found a black plastic bag containing a clear plastic packet. Inside were clear crystals suspected to be methamphetamine weighing 98.05 grams gross. Police then developed the case. BDP admitted to keeping the remaining methamphetamine in his rented room. At around 00.50 Central Indonesian Time, police searched the suspect’s room in Sempidi Village, Mengwi District. During the search, officers discovered two clear plastic packets hidden inside a table. They contained 98.45 grams and 49.20 grams of methamphetamine respectively. The total evidence seized from the three clip packets amounted to 245.7 grams gross. BDP admitted to obtaining the methamphetamine from an individual named Ryan, also known as Aldo, whose whereabouts are currently unknown. The suspect and the evidence have been taken to the Bali Regional Police Headquarters for further investigation.
