Bali Police Internal Affairs Chief Leads Firearms Storage Inspection in Tabanan
An inspection and supervision of firearms and ammunition was carried out at the Tabanan Police Resort armoury on Wednesday (22/7/2026). The activity was led by the Head of the Bali Regional Police’s Profession and Internal Security Division (Kabid Propam), Senior Commissioner I Ketut Agus Kusmayadi, accompanied by Tabanan Police Chief, Adjunct Senior Commissioner I Putu Bayu Pati. Also present were the Head of the Sub-Directorate for Profession and Internal Security of the Bali Police, Adjunct Senior Commissioner I Gede Wali, and the Head of Logistics for the Tabanan Police, Commissioner I G.P. Dharmanatha, along with other personnel from the Bali Police Internal Affairs Division. The team conducted physical checks of the weapons, verified registration numbers, and examined administrative records and ammunition storage conditions as part of the Indonesian National Police’s internal oversight. Tabanan Police Chief Bayu Pati explained that the inspection revealed the armoury holds 629 firearms, consisting of 473 revolvers, 23 pistols, and 133 long-barrelled weapons. The long-barrelled weapons include V2 Sabhara rifles, Ruger Mini rifles, SKS rifles, SS1 Pindad rifles, and AK-2000P rifles. He added that the total ammunition stored amounts to 56,776 rounds, comprising 11,686 rounds for short-barrelled weapons and 45,090 rounds for long-barrelled weapons, with all live, rubber, and blank rounds properly accounted for in the administration. Bayu Pati stressed that the Tabanan Police will continue to maintain discipline in firearms and ammunition management through ongoing supervision. Kabid Propam Agus Kusmayadi stated that the inspection is part of efforts to ensure that every Polri firearm inventory is managed professionally, accountably, and responsibly. He emphasised that firearms management must be orderly, disciplined, and in accordance with procedures to guarantee security, prevent misuse, and support the professional execution of police duties.
