Bali Police Identify Crime Hotspots, Focusing on Denpasar and Kuta
The Bali Police have identified several crime hotspots during the implementation of Operation Sikat Agung 2026. This was conveyed by the Head of the Operations Bureau (Karo Ops) of the Bali Police, Kombes Soelistijono, during a press conference at the lobby of the Directorate of General Criminal Investigation and Criminal Investigation, Bali Police.
“Regarding the hotspots, we have actually identified all of them. We have an application called Siskamtibmas, which is used to monitor the distribution of ‘3C’ incidents,” said Soelistijono on Tuesday (24/2/2026).
According to him, based on this mapping, several areas under the Denpasar Police are of particular concern.
“In each of these areas, especially in the Denpasar Police, there are several locations that we have identified. These include the Denpasar Timur, Denpasar Barat, and Denpasar Selatan sub-precincts, as well as South Kuta and Kuta. These are the hotspots we have identified,” he explained.
In response to the mapping results, the Bali Police are deploying personnel to the fullest extent possible, through both preemptive and preventative measures.
“And at night, we have also carried out efforts to deploy personnel, both in preemptive and preventative activities,” said Soelistijono.
He added that the deployment of personnel has been carried out optimally. However, criminals often take advantage of certain time gaps.
“Regarding street crime, we have actually done our best to deploy personnel. However, there are still some time gaps that may be used by the perpetrators,” he said.
The Bali Police have assured that they will continue to evaluate and adjust security patterns based on the dynamics of vulnerability in the field, especially in urban areas and tourist areas with high mobility.
