The Bali Regional Police Traffic Directorate officially held Pre-Operation Training (Latpraops) for Patuh Agung 2026 at the Bali Province BPKSDM Building on Thursday (4/6/2026). This year’s operation will focus on electronic law enforcement. The strategic activity was led directly by the Bali Police Chief of Operations, Senior Commissioner Soelistijono, accompanied by the Bali Police Director of Traffic, Senior Commissioner Turmudi, and was attended by operation officials and personnel involved in the Operation Patuh Agung 2026 Task Force. This year, Operation Patuh Agung carries the theme ‘Optimising the Transformation of Electronic Law Enforcement’. This theme was deliberately chosen as a form of the Bali Police’s commitment to modernising the policing system on the roads, while minimising direct interactions that could potentially lead to irregularities in the field. In his briefing, the Bali Police Director of Traffic emphasised that this pre-operation training is a crucial step to align perceptions, standardise action patterns, and ensure the readiness of all personnel before being deployed directly to the field. “Through this digital transformation, we aim to build a law enforcement system that is more transparent, accountable, and humane. The use of technology such as Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement (ETLE), both static and mobile, will be our vanguard in disciplining road users in Bali,” the Director of Traffic asserted before the training participants. Furthermore, Turmudi explained that the main target of the operation, which will be held simultaneously, is to reduce the number of violations, suppress traffic accident fatalities, and alleviate congestion points in tourist areas and main routes. During the training, personnel were equipped with in-depth technical material regarding the operation of electronic ticketing devices, mechanisms for inputting violation data, and procedures for enforcement that prioritise educational and preventive aspects. Through this thorough preparation, the Bali Police Traffic Directorate hopes that Operation Patuh Agung 2026 can run optimally, increase public legal awareness in traffic, and maintain Bali’s image as a safe, orderly, and secure world-class tourist destination.
