The Narcotics Investigation Directorate (Ditresnarkoba) of the Bali Regional Police has arrested a narcotics distributor with the initials IH (35). The man from Jember, East Java, was found hiding methamphetamine and cannabis at two crime scenes in Denpasar.

“A man was arrested with evidence of methamphetamine weighing more than 831 grams and 10 grams of cannabis,” said Bali Police Head of Public Relations, Commissioner Ariasandy, in a statement on Thursday (13/8/2026).

The disclosure was made following a public report indicating frequent drug transactions on Jalan Teuku Umar Barat, Denpasar. During an operation on Monday (3/8/2026), police searched a homestay room on Jalan Teuku Umar Barat.

Police immediately arrested IH and found several packages of narcotics. Inside a pencil case, police discovered two packages of methamphetamine and two packages of cannabis, along with supporting equipment such as a suction device, digital scales, and clip plastic bags.

Based on IH’s confession, the man admitted to still storing his illicit goods at a different crime scene. Officers immediately moved to the second crime scene, a hotel on Jalan Teuku Umar Barat.

At the second crime scene, officers found 17 packages of methamphetamine stored in a shopping bag placed inside a backpack. IH told officers that he obtained the goods from two individuals with the initials WS and A.

“He admitted to obtaining the narcotics from someone named WS, who is currently on the wanted list, and A, who is said to be in Malaysia,” said Ariasandy.

In addition to the seized items, police also confiscated two mobile phones belonging to the suspect and two ATM cards. The suspect and evidence have been secured at the Bali Police Narcotics Directorate office.

IH will be charged under Article 114 paragraph (2) in conjunction with Article 112 paragraph (2) of Law Number 35 of 2009 on Narcotics. He faces a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.
