Bali Labour Office Opens THR Complaint Post Seven Days Before Lebaran
Bali’s Department of Manpower and Energy and Mineral Resources (Disnaker ESDM Bali) will open a THR complaints post one week before Eid al-Fitr, also known as Lebaran. Bali’s Head of Manpower Ida Bagus Setiawan said the complaints post team is still in preparation. ‘From our experience, we have prepared a team so that if a formal THR post is established, in terms of policy and regulation, if there is a complaint we will have it ready seven days before Lebaran to accept the complaint,’ Setiawan told reporters at the Bali Disnaker Office on Tuesday, 3 March 2026. Technically, Setiawan said, the THR post will provide assistance and services to workers to ensure workers’ rights are paid by employers or companies. Setiawan hopes there will be no THR complaints this year and asks companies to diligently pay workers’ rights. ‘If there are complaints from workers as in previous years, the team formed for this post should engage persuasively to ensure THR is paid,’ he added. However, the central government through the Ministry of Manpower has not yet issued technical guidance on the readiness of the THR post. ‘If the post is in the process of establishing the team, it is likely to be operating within seven days, still in process,’ he concluded.
