Bali Jagadhita VII 2026 Reaffirms Commitment to Driving Inclusive and Sustainable Balinese Economy
DENPASAR – Bank Indonesia for the Province of Bali held the opening ceremony for Bali Jagadhita VII 2026 on Friday, 5 June 2026, at Mal Bali Galeria, Denpasar. This annual event serves as an integrated promotional platform to strengthen the three main pillars of Bali’s economy: trade, tourism, and high-quality, sustainable investment. Under the theme ‘Suddha Bumi Parahita’, Bali Jagadhita VII 2026 emphasises the importance of economic development aligned with environmental preservation, in accordance with the Nangun Sat Kerthi Loka Bali vision. The event provides a collaborative space for various stakeholders to expand market access for MSMEs, promote tourism, and encourage investment to support inclusive and sustainable economic growth amidst global dynamics.
In its seventh iteration, Bali Jagadhita has strengthened its focus on the green economy. This is demonstrated through eco-friendly fashion shows in synergy with the Bali Provincial Dekranasda, waste management education booths, and various activation activities, including waste management talk shows and sustainability talks. This strengthening of the green economy is aimed at increasing the capacity and market access of MSMEs so they can transform into export-oriented green MSMEs. The event was attended by the Head of the Representative Office of Bank Indonesia Bali, the Deputy for Entrepreneurship of the Indonesian Ministry of MSMEs, the Assistant II for Economy and Development of the Bali Provincial Secretary, the Assistant Deputy for Business Development and Capital Access of the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism, and various regional leaders.
In his opening remarks, the Head of the Representative Office of Bank Indonesia Bali, Achris Sarsem, stated that Bali Jagadhita is a strategic activity for Bank Indonesia Bali to serve as a collaborative platform to drive regional economic performance while maintaining inflation stability within target ranges. “Bali has great potential to continue growing, especially through the strength of the tourism sector, which can drive other sectors such as agriculture, industry, MSMEs, and the creative economy. Therefore, cross-sector synergy is key to ensuring Bali’s economic growth remains inclusive, sustainable, and provides widespread benefits to the community,” said Achris.
Amidst global dynamics, including geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, Bali’s economy is assessed to remain resilient. This optimism is supported by the achievements of the Bali Provincial Government, which ranked first in the Inflation Control category at the 2026 Regional Java-Bali Outstanding Local Government Appreciation awards. Bali’s success in maintaining inflation serves as vital capital to drive trade, investment, and tourism activities, which are the focus of Bali Jagadhita 2026, aiming for economic growth in the 5.5–6 percent range in 2026.
Assistant II for Economy and Development of Bali Province, Dr Luh Ayu Aryani, appreciated the 2026 Bali Jagadhita as a strategic space to promote even, inclusive, and sustainable economic growth. She noted that MSMEs play a role not only as economic actors but also as guardians of Balinese culture. “Balinese MSMEs play an important role in strengthening the regional economy while preserving cultural identity. Moving forward, Bali will not only pursue economic growth but also strengthen an economy based on local culture and community, including through the development of tourism villages,” she said.
Support for Bali Jagadhising was also expressed by the Deputy for Entrepreneurship of the Indonesian Ministry of MSMEs, Riza Adha Damanik. He praised the consistency of Bank Indonesia Bali and the Bali Provincial Government in maintaining Bali Jagadhita as a flagship agenda for MSME and regional economic development over the past seven years. Riza noted that current global economic trends are shifting, as consumers are becoming more selective, considering environmental, health, and production fairness aspects. Consequently, he appreciated the eco-friendly fashion shows at Bali Jagadhita and hoped the event would continue to be a platform for developing green MSMEs and fostering new, competitive entrepreneurs.
The Bali Jagadhita event is open to the public and runs for three days from 5–7 June 2026 at Mal Bali Galeria, featuring showcases, talk shows, competitions, and musical performances. Under the trade pillar, the event presents an MSME exhibition involving over 60 MSMEs from the Bali-Nusra region across the food and beverage, craft, fashion, and creative sectors. Additionally, a low-cost food market is being held in collaboration with Paiketan Perumda Pangan Bali to support price stability, curb inflation, and ensure the availability of basic necessities. Various creative competitions are also part of the programme, including fish-based cooking contests, upcycled bag crafting, and traditional offerings (gebogan) competitions. To support increased access to MSME financing and payment system education, Bank Indonesia is collaborating with the banking sector to socialise MSME financing products, QRIS education, and consumer protection, alongside providing mobile cash services for small denomination currency exchange.
