Bali Immigration Urges Locals to Report Disruptive Foreigners as Patrol Nets 342 Violators
The Regional Office of the Directorate General of Immigration in Bali is inviting the public to play a role in monitoring the movement of foreign nationals on the island. Immigration officials confirmed that they have taken action against more than 300 foreigners through the Dharma Dewata patrol since mid-April. “If you find a foreign national who is disturbing public order or shows indications of violating the law, please report it to the nearest immigration office,” said Felucia Sengky Ratna, Head of the Regional Office of the Directorate General of Immigration Bali, in a statement on Thursday (16/7/2026). She stated that 104 officers have been deployed in the Dharma Dewata patrol. One of the patrol’s activities involves providing direct education to business operators and tourism accommodation managers regarding the mandatory reporting of foreign nationals’ presence through the Foreigner Reporting Application (APOA). Felucia noted that the active involvement of business operators through the use of the APOA application is considered crucial in supporting data accuracy. “This is in line with the spirit of ‘Immigration for the People’, where we are present together with the community to safeguard our shared sovereignty and environmental peace,” she added. The Dharma Dewata patrol was established to focus on routine supervision and early detection of potential immigration violations in Bali. During its implementation, patrol officers cooperate with the Foreigner Supervision Team (Timpora) and relevant law enforcement agencies. “I greatly appreciate the support from all members of Timpora in Bali. The intensive collaboration and information exchange have proven effective in uncovering various immigration obstacles more quickly and accurately,” Felucia said. She explained that Dharma Dewata patrol officers are also equipped with an integrated digital data system useful for validating documents. Since 15 April, a total of 342 foreign nationals from 60 countries have been caught by the patrol for immigration administrative violations. “In every operation, I emphasise that all personnel work professionally and avoid abuse of authority. Carry out supervision humanely, but remain firm and measured in accordance with the legal corridor,” Felucia stressed.
