A video of three foreign nationals from Israel being ejected from a gym in Ubud, Gianyar, Bali, has gone viral. The gym owner said he does not serve Israelis or members of the IDF (Israel Defence Forces).

In the video uploaded to the Instagram account @GAZAUPDATE, the gym owner is seen arguing with one of the foreign men. The owner then asks the three foreigners to leave the premises.

“You served in the IDF? So I am not discussing it. You are not even allowed to be in this country. And be grateful, because I am not involving the police,” the gym owner said in the video, as reported by detikBali on Wednesday (19/8/2026).

He also stressed that he did not wish to discuss the matter and chose to tell them to leave the gym.

The gym owner is known as Samir (32). After the ejection video went viral, Samir provided clarification through a follow-up video.

Samir explained that the incident began when three men came to his gym. One of them was reportedly rude to staff.

“When I asked, they said they were Israeli. So I said we do not serve Israelis. We also do not serve anyone who is rude to our staff. You have to respect the hard-working local residents,” Samir said in his clarification.

According to Samir, after being ejected, the three men left a one-star review on Google. In the review, he was accused of being racist and of ejecting them for religious reasons.

“I spoke about Israelis and the IDF, not about religion. But they always frame it as a religious issue. Fortunately, we recorded everything because I knew they would lie,” he stressed.

Samir then reiterated his stance regarding the incident. “I want to be very clear. Do not serve the IDF and anyone who is rude to our staff,” he stressed.
