Bali airport parking goes up

TUBAN, Bali: Authorities at Ngurah Rai International Airport said they intend to raise parking fees inside the airport complex in a bid to increase revenue.

"With support from local government and the council, we will be raising the parking fee inside the airport complex in the near future," PT Angkasa Pura's local branch head I Gusti Made Dordhy said on Sunday as quoted by Antara.

The company will raise parking fees to Rp 2,500 from the current fee of Rp 1,000 per vehicle.

"We annually receive some Rp 700 million (US$73,684) from parking fees, and as of January 2001 40 percent of this will be going to regency coffers," Dordhy said.(dja)
