BAKTI Komdigi Prioritises Existing BTS Services in 2026

The Telecommunications and Information Accessibility Agency (BAKTI) under the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs has confirmed it will not build any new base transceiver stations (BTS) throughout 2026. The focus will be directed towards maintaining infrastructure that is already operational, as well as relocating BTS units in locations that require it. This policy was adopted after considering the budget and the challenges of development in frontier, outermost, and underdeveloped (3T) regions.
