JAKARTA (JP): Work on the Taman Rasuna apartments in South Jakarta is entering its final phase. On Sunday PT Catur Swasakti Utama, a subsidiary of the Bakrie business group which built the apartments, celebrated the installment of the roofs of four of 26 towers.
This will be followed by installment of the electricity and water system.
Starting next October, buyers of 3,000 of the 3,843 units, will officially receive their units, the company said. The units, starting from 57 square meters, are priced from Rp 147 million (US$ 62,874.25).
At least 2,000 units were sold in the first marketing phase in August 1993, although a building permit had yet to be issued. Buyers who queued since early morning said the units, then priced from Rp 125 million to Rp 242 million were relatively cheap. (anr)
