Bakrieland Hopes to Erect Jakarta Landmark
The Bakrieland Development Company has plans to build the “Bakrie Tower”, which will feature a “twisting and interlocking” concept. It is their ambition to create an innovative design, which is “sexy, slim, and elegant”. The company said it hopes the Bakrie Tower will be extraordinarily unique.
The Bakrie Tower will be 48 storeys high, but will have a different view from each floor because of the spiral shape. “This unique shape will make the Bakrie Tower a Jakarta landmark,” exclaimed Marudi Surachman, Bakrieland’s President Director.
The project budget has been estimated at Rp 900 billion, and will come complete with facilities such as private clubs and restaurants, conference venues, high speed elevators and a helipad on the roof. In addition, as part of the newly planned Rasuna Epicentrum area, the Bakrie Tower will be the centrepiece of a “super mega block” and surrounded by premium residences, a shopping area, an entertainment centre, the Taman Rasuna Apartments, Pasar Festival, Aston Rasuna Residence, Rasuna Office Park and Klub Rasuna. All of these buildings will be connected to the Bakrie Tower by landscaped pedestrian walkways.
