Bakrieland to build shopping and office center worth Rp200 billion
Jakarta (ANTARA News) - PT Bakrieland Development Tbk will build and market an office and shopping center on 60,000 square meters of land in the Rasuna Epicentrum Superblock in South Jakarta worth around Rp200 billion.
"We expect the building of the Epicentrum Walk project to be completed by early in 2008 in line with the completion of the Bakrie Tower which scheduled for completion in the first quarter of the year," Bakrieland president director, Marudi Surachman, said here.
He said the seven-storey building would accommodate retail and coffee shops as well as modern restaurants (on the first to the fourth floors) and offices (on the fifth to the seventh floors).
The head of Marketing Division of PT Bakrie Swasakti Utama that manages the Rasuna area and is a subsidiary of PT Bakrieland, Leani Kusdianti, said the building of the project was scheduled to start in November.
"We will start the construction after around 20 percent of the units are sold to ensure investment security," she said.
The director of PT Procon Indah, Lini Djafar meanwhile said the E. Walk had a great market potential because it had a unique concept and is located in a strategic area. (*)
